Just thought i’d jought down some stuff here. First of all, I just installed Leopard on my MacBook Pro. I FUCKING LOVE IT!. In particular, Spaces is a app that just came at me from nowhere and took me by storm. It makes my life a whole lot easier in unimaginable ways. If you own a mac and you haven’t upgraded to Leopard yet, I strongly advice you to think it over one more time. So far, Leopard has been nothing but a joy to use .

On another note, I joined Jaiku today, thanks to one of my good friends. You can (hopefully) see a feed below. edit: Nope. Posting html here is apparently a no-go.

Halo 3 – The Aftermath

Halo 3 has been out for a while now so I’ve decided to write up a little piece detailing why I liked the game, and why I ultimately stopped playing it all together (hell, you can almost call it a review!). First of all, let’s delve into the singleplayer. When I first sat down to play this game, I had no pre-concieved expectations of what the game would or could be like. I had stopped in the middle of the campaign in Halo 2, so I wouldn’t be too surprised if I did the same thing here. After a couple of days I actually finished the game, without ever feeling that it was boring or a waste of time. It’s a good thing . I can tell all of you know that it wasn’t exactly the story that made me go through the game, but rather the pacing. It has improved a whole lot from the other two games: no two environments look the same, interesting layout on the level and AI that actually fights to survive. Overall, the singleplayer portion of the game was really good and surprising. Oh, and I played it on heroic for those of you wondering. In short: a good experience, but nothing mind blowing.

Now on to the multiplayer. Halo has always been known for it’s multiplayer, even way back to Combat Evolved, and that’s not without reason. The multiplayer is pretty great. A whole bunch of maps, tons of modes and some pretty cool user-created-content will help this game live on for years to come. However, when I played it I couldn’t get over how slow it is. It’s just incredible how slow it is. Moon-like gravity and slow walk-speed just make it boring way to often. It is a fun game, but the slowness really killed it for me. I’m not even going to mention the incredibly horrible assholes on Xbox Live. That’s not the games fault (?).

So after playing Halo 3 a bit, I decided to go back to my good old PC. FPS never works like it should on consoles. I bet every console-dude who actually bothered to read this is crying out PC SNOB!!!11 right now, but I don’t really care. PC is the superior platform when it comes to FPS (and RTS, but that’s a rant for another day..).

Crysis impressions

I’ve been playing quite a bit of the Crysis multiplayer beta that’s been out on fileplanet for a while now, and I have to say that I really really like it. I never did like Far Cry a whole lot, seeing as the story in that game was total bullshit. The multiplayer wasn’t much to talk about either. And to be honest, I don’t know if that won’t be the case with Crysis. Yeah, It looks amazing. And it actually runs surprisingly smooth on my computer, but there is this weird thing with the MP that I can’t really put my finger on. The crazy thing is that it has made me super pumped for the single-player part of the game.

A demo will hopefully come out sometime this month, and I’m really looking forward to sampling the singleplayer portion.

On another note, it seems that a demo of the PC version of Call of Duty 4 will emerge the 11th of this month. That game is also going to be totally bananas. Can’t wait!

PHP and other stuff

So, i’m learning about PHP in school and I have to say that I quite like it. As soon as we start with some mySQL it’ll be totally awesome. Databases and all that jazz. I hope to begin some serious coding soon, as I’ve only done some pretty basic stuff just to learn the jist of the language.

I’ve also decided to pick up on 3d modeling again. I used to do this back in the day, but my interest wore off becuase of the lack of awesomeness found in my pc. I ordered the Maya Fundamentals DVD from 3dbuzz.com, and are eagerly awaiting it in the mail. I’ve heard a lot of good stuff on this one, and I will of course be posting progress of what I make along the way

As a final note; If you are in any way, shape or form interested in J-dramas, you owe it to yourself to check out a show called Hanazakari no Kimi Tachi e. It’s really funny, although a bit gay… but, whatever.

Call of Duty 4

So, I’ve been trying to get the beta for this game for a while now, and it finally looks like it’ll happen today. I’m not sure if my scheme will work or not, but I hope so .

Also, bacause I’m an ass I decided to write down some words that’ll probably give this blog some hits. Weird how everyone talks abou Naruto, One Piece, Britney Spears nude, fuck, sex, pussy, and all of that jazz all day long

So, I decided to change the look of this thing. New header will follow shortly.

I’ve been pretty busy lately. School has started up, even for me, and so it’s awesome so far. I’m doing a lot of web-based programming right now, like PHP and soon to come CSS, and I’m really enjoying it. Hopefully I will stay in this course until the end.

On to games… Like many of you other people out there, I’ve been playing a whole lot of BioShock. I actually have two copies of the game, one PC and one 360. The reason for this is the lack of a internet connection on my PC and desperation
Anyways, I don’t feel like writing any longer. I’m not even sure how long I will keep this blog alive. Time will tell I guess..

So, I finally reached 10,000 points on my gamercard! It was incredibly satisfying to finally get there, and i did it in just over 7 months .
I’ll try to post some crap later, probably not though. A lot of stuff is going on right now, so I don’t know if I have the time to even write something.
